Arminta McDonald was of Scots-Irish descent. She lived for an undetermined time in the Lexington, Kentucky area. According to family members, she was affectionately known simply as "Pug" and was reportedly very lovely, though sadly I've no photographs of her in her youth.

Arminta was born on North American soil on May 09, 1876. She married William Robinson in the late 1800's. Together they had seven children. In no particular order, they are as follows: Henrietta Frances Robinson, Elizabeth Robinson, Alma Robinson, Clara (Claire) Robinson, Shelby Robinson, Burnum Robinson, and another male child, name unknown. Arminta McDonald Robinson died at the age of 53, on December 02, 1929, four years after her husband's passing.

Three things I've personally inherited from Arminta: her sewing thimble, her nose, and a modest collection of her photographs. Added to this is another collection from Henrietta Frances, Arminta's daughter. Anyone interested in someone in particular, I'd be more than happy to sort through them and scan any of interest to you. I have countless photos of her offspring, neighbors and town's people. This would include pictures from Kentucky in the early 1900's (Stinking Creek, Pineville, Salt Gum, DeWitt, etc.) to pictures of the Miami, Florida, Kentucky and Ohio descendants in the 1940's, 50's and 60's. For people interested in the lower Stinking Creek area, Pineville, etc., but especially DeWitt, I might also be of help. I've inherited the entire DeWitt collection, including 'Granny Bo,' the woman who ran the DeWitt post office, her children and her grandchildren. (I believe her actual last name was Bolyn, pronounced Bow-Lynn, though I don't claim accuracy to the spelling of it. There were only about six buildings in the whole town, so chances are if you are looking for a Bolyn from there, this is them.)
