Rufus Mark Merold, known by his middle name Mark, was the son of
Patrick (Pat) Merold and his second wife, Victoria Klinger. He was
born on October 5,1915 in Tower City, Pennsylvania, and would later
move to Akron, Ohio.
Rufus Mark Merold owned and operated a Firestone Store in West
Virginia. He would serve in W.W.II as Crew Chief in the Air Force.
After the war, he returned to Ohio where he worked for Lawson's
until retirement. Rufus married unknown female, had one child, a
son, who would grow up to become a minister.
Rufus Mark Merold passed away on March 24, 1998.
